FAQs

Are your products vegan?
Yes, I buy all my ingredients from reputable suppliers that make sure the process at every stage is animal free. There are no animal products or byproducts in any of our products.

Can I use your soap as shampoo, or on my dog?
Soap made by the cold process method has a naturally higher pH. This means that is is slightly alkaline, which is not a problem for human skin. Hair is slightly acidic so if you use a soap bar then it will need to be accompanied by an acid rinse. This can be made using apple cider vinegar diluted in water and used to rinse your hair once you have washed it. Don't worry about the smell, once your hair is dry you can't smell vinegar.
Dogs have slightly acidic skin and hair and require special dog shampoo. Natural soap bars should not be used on them as it can cause skin problems.

Why do you have a low scent range if everything is natural?
Just because a scent is natural does not mean that it is not a strong smell. Essential oils can cause migraines, skin irritation and nausea, especially for some people that are more sensitive to strong scents. Essential oils should always be diluted before being used on skin. All of our products are safety tested to ensure they will cause no harm, and a list of allergens is included with each item.

Do you only sell soap and lip balm?
At the moment, yes. I am working on other products however each one has to go through rigorous testing and a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) has to be obtained. This ensures that every product is perfectly safe. If there is a specific product you would like then please get in touch and I will add it to my R&D list.

Do you use SLS or other sulphates?
No, our soaps are made using a cold process method using oils, butters and sodium hydroxide. Through a process called saponification the oils and the sodium hydroxide combine to form soap and glycerine. There are no sulphates present in any of our products.
